Central Government Business and Technology (CGBT) conference

UK’s premier Central Government Business and Technology conference to focus on key aspects of the Efficiency and Reform agenda, helping transform government through technology

Manchester UK, 5 September 2014 – Whitehall Media today announced news of their acclaimed Central Government Business and Technology (CGBT) conference, which will take place at the Hotel Russell in central London on 25 September 2014.

The all-day conference will be attended by decision-makers across the Senior Civil Service and as such it is one of the few events in the UK that is specifically aimed at the Central Government Sector. As such the event will focus on key aspects of the Efficiency and Reform agenda as well as the Government ICT strategy and how technology can be harnessed to achieve operational efficiency across Whitehall. The event will look specifically at how the government is embracing innovative technologies to deliver high quality public services and how the Civil Service is undergoing changes to become a leaner, more entrepreneurial and innovative organisation.

CGBT 2014 is set to bring together up to 400 key decision-makers across all Central Government Departments and Executive Agencies, and will offer a high level platform for Senior Civil Servants to discuss policies and agendas that are required for an agile, secure and technologically advanced government.

Ahead of the event, Whitehall Media’s managing director Waqas Hashemi commented:

“This year’s conference is set to focus achieving transformational change through strategic partnerships, leadership and best practice in the context of achieving the business objectives set out in both the Efficiency and Reform agenda and the Government ICT strategy.

To facilitate this, we are delighted to play host to a panel of expert speakers who are leading on innovation within government. Delegates will hear about the latest trends, policies and challenges and discuss how to address critical issues within their sector. The day will be ripe with opportunities to network, share best practice and gain expert advice.”
