The Independent Review of Arts Council England (ACE) was announced by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to assess ACE’s role, structure, and effectiveness. The Rt Hon the Baroness Margaret Hodge of Barking DBE was appointed as the Lead Reviewer. Baroness Hodge was supported by an expert Advisory Panel featuring individuals from across the creative sectors to help inform the review and challenge emerging recommendations. The review’s evidence gathering included input from over 700 people and over 4,500 responses through a public Call for Evidence.
