Synopsis: This conference will focus on delivering safer staffing and implementing the New NICE Guidance on safer staffing in your service, and reviewing staffing using NICE accredited tools.

By Summer 2014 NICE will produce independent and authoritative evidence based guidance on safe staffing and will review and endorse associated tools for setting staff staffing levels in acute settings. NHS Trusts will be requited to publish and review actual versus planned nursing and midwifery staffing and by December 2014 will be required to use NICE accredited tools to undertake this review. This conference will focus on delivering safer staffing and implementing the New NICE Guidance on safer staffing in your service, and reviewing staffing using NICE accredited tools. The important issues of skill mix, acuity monitoring and escalation will also be discussed through expert sessions and practical NHS Trust case studies delivered by experienced nurse directors.
