Synopsis: THE UK’S PREMIER EVENT FOR THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SECTOR DEDICATED TO SHARING BEST PRACTICE, EMERGING TECHNOLOGY TRENDS AND INNOVATIONS IN BUSINESS AND IT ACROSS THE CIVIL SERVICE AND EXECUTIVE AGENCIES

Details:

Welcome to CGBT 2014 – the UK’s leading event for innovation, leadership, efficiency and reform across the Civil Service. In 2011-12, the UK central government spent an estimated £6.9 billion on ICT. With plans to create a common infrastructure including open standards, G-Cloud, Public Services Network (PSN), data centre consolidation, greening government ICT, digital by default – the UK central government is committed to reforming its technology and infrastructure to make it smaller, flatter, leaner and more efficient.

Whitehall Media’s 5th annual CGBT conference is the only event to bridge the business gap between the Civil Service and the innovative technological advances that are needed to achieve major reforms and efficiency savings. The event will bring together key decision-makers and provide a powerful platform to discuss the policies and agendas that are required for a truly secure and technologically innovative government. We look specifically at how ICT and technology can help the government achieve operational efficiencies and optimise end-user experience.
