Synopsis: Post Francis the concept of Collective Leadership has been deeply explored and recently reported and outlined by the King’s Fund. Collective Leadership builds on the concept of shared leadership as outlined in the Clinical Leadership Competency Framework model and aims to unlock the potential of multidisciplinary teams and better engage our task force. This will support a culture that embraces the 6Cs of care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment as detailed in the “Compassion in Practice” strategy.

The engagement of staff through effective Collective Leadership to enhance staff engagement, is instrumental to delivering high quality care and is a key contributor to shaping a positive experience for patients. This Masterclass will explore the concept of Collective and Shared leadership, how it can be embedded into the culture of an organisation and what steps can be taken to champion open communication within and between teams.
