Synopsis: This important national conference provides an essential update for current and aspiring nurse and pharmacist prescribers, and will be chaired by Barbara Stuttle CBE Chair of the Association for Nurse Prescribing who led the campaign for nurse prescribing and continues to support non-medical prescribers in their role.

Through national updates and practical case studies delegates will hear how to develop and maintain prescribing competence, and how to develop effectiveness in post qualification practice.

This timely conference will update delegates on their responsibilities with regard to maintaining prescribing competence for revalidation and the the NMC Code (the consultation of which closed in August ) which has included specific requirements for prescribing and medicines management as well as leadership. The  conference will include case studies demonstrating prescribing competence and will also focus on difficult issue such as prescribing for comorbidities.
