Public Sector Event
Housing Allocations Conference
Venue: Central London
Date: 14 Oct 2016
Synopsis: With the changes to Local Housing Allowance (LHA) and the Housing and Planning Act 2016, explore how to utilise existing housing stock whilst working to support those most in need.
Details:
With the recent changes to Local Housing Allowance (LHA) for under 35s and the introduction of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 in May, Capita’s national Housing Allocations Conference is designed to provide insight and advice on how to develop a fair and robust allocations scheme.
This event is ideally timed to examine the legislative changes that will impact allocations and gives guidance from best practice organisations to ensure social housing allocations schemes are making the most out of existing stock.
Key topics covered include the impact of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 on housing allocations, designing an allocations scheme that is legally secure and prioritises the most vulnerable through reasonable preference, and introducing more partnership working in order to maximise resources across stock.
