Synopsis: The Institute for Government is delighted to welcome Professor Gary Sturgess, former Cabinet Secretary in Australia’s New South Wales state government and leading expert on outsourcing and competition.

He will be in conversation with Emma Norris, Director of Research at the Institute for Government, to discuss the challenges facing government outsourcing in the UK and abroad, drawing on lessons from Australia.

The conversation will be followed by audience questions.

Professor Gary Sturgess is an Adjunct Professor with the Australia and New Zealand School of Government and former Executive Director of the Serco Institute.
