 The most recent government figures show that £12.8bn has been spent by the public sector overall on G-Cloud and the Digital Marketplace. Local government has been encouraged to invest in new digital technologies to ensure more efficient delivery of public services and to modernise legacy systems. The pandemic has accelerated the need to adopt and implement technology and digital solutions across public sector to deliver public services. The recent spending review was positive with additional funds across the sector to aid the growth and delivery of services to the communities.
