School attendance is set for a huge overhaul in the coming months and the senior leadership team will be expected to put in place plans to manage those changes. This essential course will give you a complete overview of the new guidance and policy and understand what these will mean for your school in practice, for you and the wider school staff.

You’ll look in detail at how, through outstanding leadership you can embed these changes within your school culture to ensure that improved attendance remains a priority in your school.

Your attendance data will be under more scrutiny, and you’ll be expected to use it to facilitate more joined up working with local stakeholders. Make sure you are capturing the right data and understand how you can use your attendance data to support strategic decisions and drive the required improvements.

With an increased focus from Ofsted on school attendance, its more important that ever that you are prepared for inspection day – and that you know how to prepare your staff. Victoria will lead you through the preparation you can make for inspection day and how to correctly evidence the steps you are taking to improve your attendance rates.
