Virtual wards have been set up and used in the UK for some time now, but the recent Covid-19 pandemic significantly accelerated the awareness and use of virtual wards across the UK. New research and pilots have been launched and our upcoming conference aims to showcase key findings and insights since their conception.

Throughout the recent pandemic, virtual wards were used in a number of ways to help to manage demand, and ultimately keep both NHS staff and patients safe from potential infection. Providing care in appropriate places, reducing infection transmission, and shortening the length of hospitals stay is just a few examples of how virtual wards helped to underpin the fight against covid-19.

Our upcoming conference will provide a timely platform for NHS managers and leaders to meet virtually and share key insights, while listening to an expert panel of guest speakers from across NHS and industry.
