With emotional wellbeing now being a high priority it is vital that we understand how it affects learning, and the impact it has on our teaching.

The curriculum across Early Years, Key Stage One and Two is increasingly subject specific and table based, but in order to get achieve the best with our children we need to understand them first.

Effective use of the Leuven Scales enables us to better understand an individual or group, and work with what is affecting their learning.

The key point here is that the Leuven Scales are not just a tick list or another assessment to be done every half term and filed. The Scales are a tool to better understand a situation, and then monitor it. This will make a measurable impact on learning.
