Synopsis: This study day will look at the key factors required in pre operative assessment, to enable a skilled and competent workforce that is patient focussed.
It will consider the inter-professional roles that support effective pre-operative assessment. A service that will identify individual health concerns and plan optimisation. This master class will concentrate on training, coaching and competences to develop the individual as well as the inter professional team.

The NHS faces a £60bn funding gap by 2025-quote by NHS England 2013. Workforce now needs to be effective and efficient in administering patient-focused care. Accurate pre-operative assessment remains essential for patient safety perioperatively.
