Event Summary

In the UK, approximately 13 million women are currently undergoing the menopause, making this demographic the fastest-growing segment in the workplace today. Against a backdrop of significant economic and political challenges, staff retention and support are vital for growth and productivity.

The introduction of new workplace guidance in February 2024 shines a light on the enhanced responsibilities of employers under the Equality Act 2010, as detailed in a timely report from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). This guidance takes a leap forward in recognising the need for increased organisational support.

Baroness Kishwer Falkner, Chairwoman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, recently voiced her concerns about the number of women being forced out of their roles due to their menopause-related symptoms; and emphasised that many women don’t feel safe enough to request the workplace adjustments.

Westminster Insight’s annual Menopause in the Workplace Conference is a timely, half-day conference focussing on this vital topic. We will examine best practice, new ideas and the important legal responsibilities that employers have. How can you make ‘reasonable adjustments’ in the workplace and ensure non-discrimination against women experiencing the menopause?

Join us in central London at this must-attend event for employers, HR professionals and policymakers who are prioritising the creation of equitable and supportive work environments.
